SEATTLE, Aug. 21, 2018 – Grakon Group, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced lighting and electronics systems for premier vehicle Original Equipment manufacturers, announced on Monday it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI), a global developer of custom engineered and application-specific products and solutions.

Grakon, LLC (www.grakon.com) was recently recognized by PACCAR through receipt of their prestigious 10 PPM Supplier Quality Award for 2016. The award is presented to suppliers who meet or exceed the rigorous 10 PPM (parts per million) threshold and demonstrate performance criteria for on-time delivery and support of PACCAR’s operating divisions and their customers. Grakon has been recognized by PACCAR for their quality performance since 2007.

Seattle, WA, October 5, 2016 – Grakon LLC (www.grakon.com), a global leader in the design and manufacture of custom LED interior and exterior lighting solutions, heavy duty work lamps, engineered trim components, and electronic modules, announced the acquisition of BMAC Limited, located in Manchester, England. Grakon, headquartered in Seattle, WA, was acquired by Industrial Growth Partners IV, L.P. (IGP) in October 2014.

MAY 10, 2016, SEATTLE, WA: Grakon, LLC, a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of custom lighting, electronics and highly-styled engineered components for premier OEM vehicle manufacturers, today announced the strategic acquisition of the business and assets of Hamsar Diversco, Inc. Hamsar, based near Toronto, Canada, primarily develops and manufactures custom OEM lighting and electronics solutions for various vehicle and industrial end markets.

San Francisco, CA – Industrial Growth Partners, in partnership with management and certain outside investors, has acquired Grakon Holdings LLC (“Grakon” or the “Company”).

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and with additional operations in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Helmond, Netherlands, and Dongguan, China, Grakon is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly-engineered and customized lighting systems and components for transportation markets. The Company’s products include customized interior and exterior LED lighting systems, nameplates and trim components for OEMs in the heavy truck, specialty vehicle and rail end markets. The Company is the market leader in the customized lighting market for heavy trucks in North America, and also meaningfully serves customers in Europe and Asia.

Grakon, LLC announced today that they have once again received the prestigious PACCAR, Inc “50 PPM” Quality Achievement Award. PPM is defined in the industry as “Parts Per Million” defective out of all parts shipped to the customer. According to Rick Ryland, PACCAR Senior Director of Global Supplier Quality, “Grakon has earned the award every year since PACCAR initiated the award in 2007.”

Grakon chooses Synergy 3000 for its Multi-Language Capability. Since implementing Synergy, Grakon has realized immediate benefits. “We can have operators enter data in the plants across the globe, while engineers and managers can monitor the data anywhere in the world,” Don Bartlett, Director of Quality & Customer Service said.

Grakon is pleased to announce the introduction of a complete new interior lighting system that has been designed and developed for the new Volvo FH. This system was presented to the press on the 5th of September 2012.
